Currently based in Somerset, surrealist painter, Caroline Walsh-Waring has developed her own style over the years since Art School and further training in London and France. Inspired by the landscape she relates these images to the experiences of her life from growing up in Norfolk, working in London for 20 years, then living offshore, raising a family and general day to day life.
Her bright, quirky images stem from her vivid and unusual imagination, which metamorphoses the shapes and colours she sees into inspiring trees, clouds, paths, journeys and fictional views based on spontaneous thoughts, memories, and visions that spring into her mind. The result is bright, bold, almost musical surrealist images flowing to unlimited possibilities. She freely expresses what she feels and sees at that moment in time, filling her images with ideas led by her intuition.
