STATEMENT: My work often begins in response to events and media images, it is not restrained by these starting points and while maintaining the intensity of its origins, it is free to evolve independently. I often use everyday found objects which may sometimes provide starting points or present themselves as the work develops: these are chosen for a particular 'presence', association or familiarity. The work is assembled to create rhythms and interactions; juxtaposition and metaphor explore connections and moods.
